1. Introduction

Zuri Ride is a privately operated ride-booking, chauffeur, and parcel delivery platform that operates on a curated driver network model. This means drivers are not publicly onboarded through open self-registration. Instead, drivers are approved through a structured onboarding and verification process to maintain service quality, safety, and professionalism.

This policy explains how drivers join and operate on the Zuri Ride Driver platform.


2. Driver Registration Policy

At this time, Zuri Ride does not support open public driver self-registration through the Driver App.

Drivers who wish to join the Zuri Ride platform must:

  1. Contact Zuri Ride support directly.
  2. Complete identity verification (KYC).
  3. Submit required documents.
  4. Attend a physical meeting and vehicle inspection.
  5. Be approved and activated by Zuri Ride management.

Only approved drivers will receive login credentials and access to the Zuri Ride Driver App.

This approach helps Zuri Ride maintain a trusted, safe, and professional driver network.


3. Driver Verification (KYC Requirements)

All drivers must submit and verify the following:

  • National ID or Passport
  • Valid Driving Permit
  • Vehicle Registration Documents
  • Vehicle Insurance
  • Vehicle Inspection Approval
  • Profile Photo
  • Active Phone Number

Zuri Ride reserves the right to approve or reject any driver application at its discretion.


4. Vehicle Requirements

Vehicles used on the Zuri Ride platform must:

  • Be in good mechanical condition
  • Have valid registration and insurance
  • Be clean and well maintained
  • Meet the category standards (Bike, Standard, Executive, SUV, etc.)
  • Pass a physical inspection conducted or approved by Zuri Ride

Location Data

Zuri Ride Driver collects precise location data to provide ride and delivery services. This includes pickup location, drop-off location, route tracking, and driver availability location.


Background Location Data

Zuri Ride Driver collects location data in the background when the driver is online or during an active trip, even if the app is minimized or not actively in use. This is required for core features such as trip matching, navigation, and real-time trip tracking.\

  • Trip start and end times
  • Pickup and drop-off locations
  • Distance traveled
  • Trip history
  • Earnings and payment records

Device and Technical Information

  • Device model
  • Operating system
  • App version
  • IP address
  • Log files and crash reports

Payment and Earnings Information

  • Earnings history
  • Withdrawal information
  • Payment transaction records

6. How We Use Driver Information

We use driver information to:

  • Support navigation during trips
  • Update driver availability and status
  • Improve pickup accuracy
  • Ensure trip safety and monitoring

Background location is only used when the driver is online or during an active trip and is necessary for the core functionality of the driver app.


8. How We Share Driver Information

Zuri Ride may share driver information in the following cases:

  • With riders: Driver name, profile photo, vehicle details, and live location during a trip
  • With service providers: Payment processors, cloud hosting providers, SMS providers, and analytics services
  • With law enforcement or regulators when required by law
  • For safety, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution

Zuri Ride does not sell driver personal data to third parties.


9. Data Retention

Zuri Ride retains driver data for as long as necessary to:

If a driver deletes their account, personal data will be deleted or anonymized, except where retention is required by law.

17. Payments & Earnings

Drivers receive earnings based on completed trips and deliveries through the Zuri Ride platform. Payment terms, commission structure, and withdrawal methods are communicated separately to approved drivers.

Zuri Ride reserves the right to adjust commission or pricing structure with notice.


18. Account Suspension or Termination

Zuri Ride may suspend or terminate a driver account if:

  • False information was provided
  • Driver misconduct or unsafe behavior
  • Poor service quality
  • Violation of Zuri Ride policies
  • Illegal activities
  • Abuse of the platform

19. Future Open Registration

Zuri Ride may introduce public driver self-registration in the future. However, all drivers will still be subject to verification, KYC, and vehicle inspection before activation.
